New corporate identity

hivaFrom now on the official name of HIVA is HIVA - Research Institute for Work and Society. A new corporate name calls for a new website and a new corporate identity.

HIVA was set up thirty-five years ago by the Catholic University of Leuven (K.U.Leuven) and the Christian Labour Movement. Our familiar and well-known acronym ‘HIVA’ will remain unchanged, but we have chosen for a name which better encompasses what HIVA stands for.

The new website and digital corporate identity is attuned to the corporate identity of the K.U.Leuven and thus enhances the recognizability of our institute as part of the university.

The new website emphasizes that ‘our team’ of highly motivated academic researchers and employees is the backbone of our organisation. HIVA has a multidisciplinary staff and specialises in policy-oriented research on labour and society. This gives HIVA a unique position within K.U.Leuven and outside the university.

The bright modern colours of the new logo reflect the fact that HIVA looks to the future. We conduct high-quality, innovative academic and policy-related research that works for people and society. At HIVA, we deliberately opt for research that can provide a very specific response to the topical issues in our society. We wish to support and strengthen civil government agencies through the provision of reliable knowledge about issues which affect us all. In short, we seek to carry out research that works!

The new logo forms the foundation of the renewal of our corporate identity. In the coming months you will see more of our new look and hear more about the activities concerning HIVA’s 35th anniversary. We will keep you informed via our website and the HIVA e-newsletter.
